Andreas Papallas elected to CAA Council

Associate Architect, Andreas Papallas, has been elected to the Cyprus Architects Association Council for a two-year term

Out of a total of 7 candidates, the four other seats went to Charis Solomou, Panayiotis Panayi, Alexis Vafeades and Marcos Marcou.

The Cyprus Architects Association is governed by a Council of 10 members, 2 honorary members and 6 regional members representing Larnaca, Limassol, and Paphos. Elections of the council are held yearly at the Annual General Meeting.

Following Monday's council meeting, Andreas has been elected to the position of Secretary for Students and Young Architects. Over the last few years, Andreas has been involved in academia and practice and is especially interested in how research can support the association's goals as well as involving students and young architects in the on-going discussions that relate to the future of the profession.

Upon becoming successfully elected, Andreas said: "It is an honour to have been elected and I look forward in the next two years as a member of the council."
